As of Lately

Well we finally have a blog. We plan to use this to keep friends and family updated on the happenings of Mr. and Mrs. Rainey. So here's what we have been doing lately...

Boise/Oregon/4th of July

As you can guess, we had a fun week! We drove to Boise last Sunday to visit Amber and Matt. Monday night we all drove to Oregon to visit my Grandpa Bob and Grandma Jean. We planned on having a couple of days to visit them and were surprised with another guest! Tuesday morning my Mom flew in from Los Angeles. She and Dad had decided a couple days before to fly her out and spend some time with all of us. It was great to see her!
Later that day we went to Ashland, where my Mom grew up. Jordan and Matt got to try the famous Lithia Water. It is the most pure water but it doesn't taste how you would expect it to. It smells like sulfar and has sodium and other fun minerals in it that make it extremely healthy. After that we drove to Grants Pass on the Rogue River and joined a jetboat excursion. We road 16 miles down the river, through Hellsgate Canyon, and stopped to learn the history of the river and enjoy the wildlife. We ate an amazing dinner at the OK Corral before heading back to Grants Pass.
Wednesday we relaxed and hung out. Grandpa Bob took Matt and Jordan fishing. My awesome hubby hooked four fish and brought in two. Matt hooked and brought in one. Nice! Mom, Amber, Grandma Jean and I went out to eat while the guys were out. It was great to visit with them. Our fun in Oregon ended Thursday morning as we left early for Boise. We spent the next few days there and celebrated the 4th of July there as well. We left Boise this morning and got back to Salt Lake this afternoon.

We are so happy we were able to have fun this past week and look forward to finding jobs (hopefully soon) and getting back into our life here.
