We have been busy and I have not had a chance to blog about our Thanksgiving. It was such a fun day! In the morning the Margetts (the couple who lives above us), the Niederhousers (another young couple in the ward), and us got together and made breakfast. Jordan and I made sausage, the Margetts did Belgian waffles and the Neiderhousers made eggs. What a feast! We had a lot of fun just hanging out with each other as young couples.
After breakfast Jordan and I headed out to spend time with yet another young couple in the ward. I have become friends with a great girl named Karalyn. She and her husband Jason have an adorable 3 month old little boy named Ethan. Karalyn's family plays football Thanksgiving morning and they invited us to join. So I went and cheered from the sidelines with the rest of the women and Jordan played flag football. We both had a great time and Jordan didn't sustain any injuries! Yay!
After football we came home and made a great green bean dish to take to the Taylor's for dinner. It's a recipe from Jordan's mom and we both love it, as did everyone at dinner! We had a great time with the Taylors and had a delicious dinner.
After dinner we decided to set up our Christmas Tree because we knew we would be too busy to do it this week. It looks great! It's a five foot tree and all of the ornaments were given to us by my mom. They are cute angels. We also hung our stockings (also from Mom) over our fireplace. We don't have a ton of decorations but our living feels like home and is so cozy!
We really enjoyed our days of no school together. Yesterday we went back to the grind.
Things are going well for us. We've had a couple hiccups in our life recently but things are going very well. We are both gearing up for finals and are ready for school to end. We can't wait to go home in just 22 days!!!
